Your role with us

As an economist with us, you will play a key role where you, together with dedicated unit managers and the operations manager within support for disabilities, work with budgets, follow-ups, and financial analyses that truly make a difference. You will have the opportunity to influence strategic decisions and contribute to the development of the operations in close collaboration with other support functions.

We actively work to create solutions for staffing economics and to build structures that link finances to schedules and customer needs. With us, you will participate in investigative and development work, help implement a new decision support system, and support managers in financial matters. You will also be the economist for exciting projects and government grants within the operational area – there is room for both responsibility and innovation!

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with a degree in economics from a university or college. We want you to have several years of experience working as an economist with budgets, follow-ups, and accounting. Experience from municipalities, county councils, public sector, or other politically governed operations is an asset.

You handle IT tools as a natural part of your work, and we want you to have very good knowledge of Excel. The job requires good knowledge of Swedish, as well as the ability to communicate financial issues clearly in both speech and writing. You can speak clearly, exude credibility and confidence, and have the ability to hold presentations and training sessions tailored to the audience's needs and feedback.

To succeed in this role, you need to be able to create and maintain good relationships, both internally and externally. You collaborate well with people in different contexts and functions. We want you to have the ability to carefully analyze and assess different types of data to draw well-thought-out conclusions and create effective solutions. You also have the ability to plan and organize your work and find it easy to set goals, as well as follow up and complete activities. You who apply to us must have a driver's license (B) to easily get around to our operations when needed.

The economic unit of the care administration is located at Östra kommunhuset and is a close-knit group of economists, economic administrators, fee handlers, and purchasing coordinators. Our common goal is to create conditions for good financial management and provide the best possible service to both customers and operations. And we should have fun at work!

The area of support for disabilities is broad and includes, among other things, housing, daily activities, housing support, children's activities, and escort services. There is also the national gymnasium's accommodation, which is state-funded. With us, you will work in an environment where your skills are valued and where you have good opportunities to grow both professionally and personally.

The care administration's operations target the elderly and people who need support for disabilities, as well as those in need of home healthcare. The operations are functionally divided into four areas: support in ordinary housing, support in care and nursing homes, health and medical care, and support for disabilities. The administration also includes the authority unit, the national gymnasium, and the assistive technology center in Östra Skåne.
